Tax Filing Deadline Terms
The terms this site is used under, what a free call is and is not, and how an engagement actually starts. Effective 29 September 2026.
Who these terms are with
Services on this site are provided by Steven Palmieri, Dallas, Texas. Using this site means you accept what is on this page.
The limits are written on the Disclosures page, and those limits are part of these terms.
What the pages here are, and are not
Everything published on this site is general information for business owners. It is not advice about your own numbers, and looking through it does not make you a client. Tax and reporting rules change and land differently on different facts, so confirm anything that matters for your return before you act on it.
A free call is a conversation
The twenty minutes offered on this site creates no engagement, no ongoing duty and no obligation on either side. We will say plainly what we see and what an engagement would involve, including when the honest answer is that you do not need one yet. Work begins only when both of us sign a written engagement letter naming the scope and the fee.
Engagements, scope and fees
Every engagement is defined in writing before it starts. Fees are quoted for that scope, and anything outside it is quoted separately before it is done. Either of us may end an engagement in writing. You remain responsible for fees earned to that date and your records are returned to you.
What the work depends on from you
The work is only as good as what it is built on. You are responsible for giving us complete and accurate records, for the accuracy of what is in your own systems, and for the decisions you make. We will tell you when something does not tie, and we will not build on a month that has not closed.
The site itself
The words, layouts and images on this site belong to the practice that publishes it. You may print and quote them with attribution. You may not republish the site or use it to train a product without written permission.
The site is provided as it is. We keep it accurate and available, and we do not promise it will never be wrong or never be down. Nothing here limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.
Where this is governed
These terms are governed by the law of the State of Texas, and any dispute belongs in the courts of Dallas County, Texas.
How a change to these terms is shown
When these terms change, the effective date at the top of the page changes with them. The new text is the text on the page. A change does not reach backward into an engagement letter already signed. The phone number in the footer is the way to ask which version applied when you wrote to us.
A date named on this site is a federal date for a stated kind of return. Looking it up here does not create a filing duty we owe you, and it does not move a payment that the instructions already fixed. If your year does not end in December, the printed day for a calendar year may not be your day. The call is where that difference gets named.
Forms on this site ask for a way to reach you and a short note. Sending one is a request for a conversation. An engagement starts only with a signed letter, and a form does not ask us to file anything on a particular day.
The twenty minutes on a call are for naming the filing day and the payment day. They are not a review of a whole return and they are not a promise that a balance will change. If the honest answer is that the month has to close before either day can be trusted, we will say that, and we will say it before anyone is asked to sign.
You may stop using the site at any time. Stopping does not by itself end a signed engagement. Ending a signed engagement is the written step described above. Records you gave us for that engagement come back to you. Notes a public form already received, which you then asked us to delete, are handled on the privacy page.
